Fantastic news! Superdrug’s ‘B’ range have recently revealed a range of different red matte lipsticks. YAY!
Before learning about the harsh realities of companies that test their cosmetic products on animals, ‘Mac’ was my absolute favourite brand, and I particularly loved their matte lipsticks. I have found a couple of vegan replacements in brands such as GOSH for brown shades, but the beauty of ‘B’ is that everything is vegan, so you don’t have to worry about squinting at the small-print ingredients in the middle of a shop. You can check out my first impressions of ‘B’ in ‘B’ is for Beautiful! Superdrug’s New Vegan ‘B’ Range.
I chose the ‘Alexa’ shade which is a bold, classic red, and was perfect with a black outfit which I wore on New Year’s Eve. You can find this product on the Superdrug website here. It is currently on sale, and priced at just £4.99.
I was really happy that the lipstick managed to stay on all night with just a couple of minor touch ups. I also used a red lip liner which I got from GOSH, which gives a nice outline and a fuller effect. Personally, I prefer matte to sheer lipstick, so I was really happy with this product.
If you’re looking for a classy, red, matte lipstick minus the animal cruelty, this is for you! Highly recommended…thank you B!

N.B. Please note that Superdrug products are currently only for sale in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. I have asked Superdrug for information about any future plans for international delivery, and will keep you updated on this.

Illamasqua make some fantastic cruelty free matte lipsticks, they are a bit more on the pricey side but definitely worth it!
